Golmaal Returns, the much-awaited follow-up of the uproariously comic smash-hit Golmaal, arrives with renewed star power, chartbusting music and more laughter than before!
Gopal (Ajay Devgan), who lives with his wife Ekta (Kareena Kapoor), sister Esha (Amrita Arora) and a dumb brother-in-law Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), gets stuck in a yacht after saving an attractive woman Meera (Celina Jaitly) from some goons.
Both end up spending the night on the yacht and when he comes home the next day, his painfully suspicious wife, a hardcore fan of saas-bahu serials, smells fish. Gopal knows its going to be hard to quell her suspicion so he concocts a cock-and-bull story about having stayed the night with a fictitious friend called Anthony Gonsalves. Ekta refuses to buy his yarn and writes to Anthony (on a fictitious address given to her by Gopal) asking him to visit her.
Gopal convinces his junior at work, Laxman (Shreyas Talpade) to pretend to be Anthony. Everything goes according to plan till the address to which Ekta had written to Anthony turns out to be real!
If that isnt complication enough for Gopal, a dead body is discovered at the location where he had saved Meera. The Investigating Officer, Madhav (Arshad Warsi), who is Eshas boyfriend and cannot stand the sight of Gopal, learns that the latter had been missing from home that eventful night and begins checking on him.
Madhavs investigation results in hilarious chaos and tricky situations where a new lie must be invented at every instance to conceal the previous lie!

A joyous Diwali from Obama Dear Friends, Thank you for the opportunity to share a few thoughts with you as we near the night of Diwali. In the coming days, Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and their friends of all faiths will gather across America and around the world to celebrate the Festival of Lights. Americans, despite our varied backgrounds, believe that all people are created equal, and that each person should be free to practice or not practice religion as they choose. But these beliefs have faced challenges at home and abroad throughout history, but they are the beliefs our nation was founded on, and we always return to them. Much has happened in the world since the last Diwali, and this is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the year past and rededicate ourselves to spreading peace and tolerance in the coming year…. …I hope you enjoy your celebration and renew your commitment to overcoming ignorance. I wish you all the best for a Barack Obama joyous Diwali.

BITTER INFIGHTING between aides to John McCain and Sarah Palin erupted into public view on Saturday in a sign of tension gripping the Republican camp with the election 10 days away .
A series of recent surveys have suggested Palin’s presence on the ticket is hurting McCain’s chances.
The inquests into what has gone wrong with McCain’s campaign appear to have already begun, according to reports, with Palin’s camp blaming the Arizona senator’s senior advisers for mismanaging her contribution.
The Politico.com website cited four Republicans close to Palin as saying she had grown frustrated by advice given to her by campaign handlers, whom her supporters blame for a series of public relations gaffes.
The report said Palin was now increasingly willing to disregard orders from advisors, sug gesting the Republican running mate was in the initial stages of forging her own identity for a future tilt at the White House.
Later Saturday, Politico quoted McCain advisers reacting angrily to the report, branding Palin a “diva.” The McCain sources said Palin had repeatedly gone “off-message” recent ly, suggesting she appeared to be looking out for herself.
A McCain source quoted by CNN added: “She is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: Divas trust only unto themselves, as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom.”

Kareena Kapoor opposite Hollywood actor Johnny Depp

Kareena Kapoor was offered a role by Bend it like Beckham director Gurinder Chadda for her next flick opposite handsome hunk Johnny Depp. The NRI director is also set to make a big-budget Hollywood flick, but Kareena denied the film as she had dates problem (I’m not too sure of that though) and moreover she was not impressed with the offer. The Bride and Prejudice NRI filmmaker reportedly offered Kareena a role in the film which promises to be a lavish, international production. But, Kareena said no. She’s got no dates. Well with films like 3 idiots with Aamir Khan, Kambaqt Ishq with Akshay Kumar and Main aur Mrs Khanna with Sallu in her kitty, Bebo has nothing to worry about, not even Johnny Depp, so it seems for the time being.
She’s pretty keen to do meaningful and bigger roles in Bollywood, like the ones she’s doing right now. This talented actress and the smart lady has declined to be an unknown in Hollywood while remaining the czarina of Bollywood! Also, after Bebo’s much hyped episode with superstar Sylvester Stallone, the actress is in no mood to infuriate beau Saif Ali Khan with another of Hollywood connection!
Well, whatever the reason, I would just say that Bebo should have put in some deep thought before saying a ‘no’ to Depp and some inernational acclaim.

“WEDNESDAY”

“WEDNESDAY” tells the story of certain events that unfold between 2 and 6 pm on a particular Wednesday - events which do not exist in any record but which deeply effects the lives of those involved.
Prakash Rathod, Commissioner of Police, Mumbai (played by Mr Anupam Kher) gets a call demanding the release of four militants in lieu of information on bombs that the man has planted in various parts of the city. At first, Prakash suspects it to be a crank call but his doubts are dispelled once he actually finds a bomb planted in the police station right opposite his Police Headquarters.
Now Prakash Rathod is in a real dilemma. Should he release the militants? Militants who have been caught at the cost of lives of police officers in the first place? Militants who are responsible for unaccountable damage to civilian lives and property? Militants who will cause further damage in the coming years, if let go scott free? Or should he just think of all the innocent people who will die today if he decides not to let them go?
Prakash Rathod is not a man who would give up so easily. He gets a team of his best men together and taps all his resources - he was going to leave no stone unturned in his mission to track down the man. He even hires a 17 year old hacker to help his team trace the calls and hence the location of this man.
Meanwhile, he comes across Naina Roy, a wannabe-something news channel reporter (played by Ms Deepal Shaw) who also has been tipped off by an anonymous caller. Time passes without any concrete results on the identity of the caller. As a backup plan, he puts two of his best men, Arif and Jai (played by Jimmy Sheirgill and Amir Bashir respectively) to hand over the four militants. It is then that events take a bizarre turn.
Suddenly, everything becomes a huge question mark. Who is this man? What is his identity? What are his intentions and what is the motive behind them? The caller (played by Mr Naseeruddin Shah) then reveals his true identity and answers these questions, raising some more in the process…
Cast: Naseruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Jimmy Shergill, Aamir Bashir, Deepal Shaw, Gaurav Kapoor
