Noida, Mar 9 (PTI) Twelve people suffered minor injuries in a stampede at Indian Idol audition centre in the city today, just five days after the Pratapgarh incident that claimed 63 lives.
The injured were rushed to Fortis Hospital and they were discharged after first aid.
Against the expectations of the organisers of 1,000 aspirants, over 5000 turned up at the centre. As the gate was opened for the first batch, there was a rush and many fell.
Police resorted to lathicharge to maintain order.
On March four, 63 people were killed in a stampede at Kripaluji Maharaj Ashram in Pratapgarh.
