Aishwarya Rai’s beauty is undoubtedly  speechless and very honestly, if  I start describing  her beauty in words, I will be simply short of words. She is ruling millions of hearts here in India and worldwide with her serene beauty and giving a perfect recognition of her beauty and glamour. As the Barbie doll completes its 50th year, Mattel Toys has decided to launch a Barbie doll based on the looks of the beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. When I heard about Aishwarya Rai lending her looks to the  Barbie doll, I thought it was the perfect move and decision  by Mattel toys. I  just wondered  why it never striked  any production unit earlier. Aishwarya Rai will be the first Indian Barbie doll who will be portrayed as a Bollywood actress. 
Aishwarya Rai sprung to fame when she won the Miss World contest in 1994, which started a lucrative modelling and acting career for her. Aishwarya proved her self in the  Bollywood industry and did countless movies. She has a huge fan following all over the globe not only for her looks but more for her acting skills and dancing style. She made the transition to Hollywood starring roles in Bride and Prejudice, Mistress of Spices, The Last Legion and more recently in Pink Panther 2 alongside Steve Martin. She became the face of L’Oréal cosmetics in 2005 and is one of few Indian film stars to have their waxwork image displayed at Madame Tussaud’s.
 She formally became a member of Bollywood’s “royal family” when she married actor Abhishek Bachchan, the son of India’s most popular star Amitabh Bachchan. The actress is said to have been approached by the doll makers, a couple of months back. But Ash wanted to be sure about the entire look of  the doll.  Celebrity Barbies are in vogue in Hollywood, with celebrities like Diana Ross, Cher, Beyonce etc lending their looks to the Barbies.  Aishwarya is quite happy and thrilled that she’s  been approached for this honour. But she is very particular about her image and therefore didn’t want the doll to look anything that she wasn’t comfortable with.

About  Ash’s look  Ash-Barbie will be very close to the real life superstar and will come complete with Aishwarya’s green eyes and her designer outfits. In fact leading designers have been approached to create both Indian and Western outfits to go with the Ash Barbie.  In the upcoming Indian fashion week, designers will flaunt the special Barbie outfits. The show is going to be a gala celebration to mark Barbie’s half-century. Mattel Toys is planning to speed up production and distribute the dolls with in India and internationally in countries like United Kingdom and Dubai where Bollywood has as a strong fan following, especially Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s fans.

Latest news is that another Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif  who is Salman Khan’s long standing girlfriend has replaced Aishwarya Rai as the choice of the Barbie doll. After taking the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week by storm last month, Mattel had invited Indian designers to a contest, asking them to create designs for the doll as their muse. The show called “BarbieAll Dolld Up!” is the style icon’s first in India and showcased life-size, Barbie-inspired looks, which were put together by designers like Wendell Rodricks, Neeta Lulla, Sonam Mehta, Shantanu & Nikhil, Jyoti Sharma, Vikram Phadnis and others. Wow, Aishwarya was also at one time in the long queue of girls dying to be in Salman’s arms and they had a long relationship too which filled the news columns often with Salman abusing Aishwarya. Incidentally, Salman had publicly hit Katrina also on the face  recently.  Wonder why these women like to get hit and still like to stay on with him. Any answers?????
