Drew Barrymore has said that she has good organisational skills as a director but her real life is a disaster. The Charlie’s Angels star, who directed the 2009 film Whip It, admitted she is disciplined on the sets but has messy habits. ”My real life is a disaster. You should see my hotel room right now. It looks like Sid Vicious is living there. It’s absolutely nuts. I need to call somebody to help because it’s started to look weird. I’m just a mess. My desk is a mess, I’m never organised, I lose everything,” said Barrymore. The 35-year-old actress is currently in search of another script to tackle next. ”As a director, I’m really trying hard to find something I fall in love with again because it’s a really long, intense job that you work on every day for the next three years,” she said. Her most recent film as an actress is Going The Distance which also features Barrymore’s on-off boyfriend Justin Long. It follows the story of a couple in a long distance relationship, focusing on their travels between Los Angeles and Chicago. Drew Barrymore admits that she used to crave being in “crazy love”, but now with age she has settled down and likes “easy and calm” relationships.”When you’re young, you just want to be in love. I call it crazy love because you just want to have fun and you’re not thinking about the future or kids. You just want to have a good time with that person,” contactmusic.com quoted her as saying. ”Then, as you get older, even children aside, you just think, ‘God, I actually like when it’s easy, and I want these attributes from this person. I need these kinds of systems in place to feel calm.” The Going the Distance actress, who is believed to be dating her co-star Justin Long, admits she is attracted to people who keep their word and don’t lie. Asked what type of man she goes for, she said: “Someone who, when they say they are going to do something, does it. I really, really am attracted to any person, personally or professionally, who keeps their word.”
