A long road traveled; from a waiter in Bangkok, to one of the most successful actors in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar has come a long way. As an instructor in martial artist, Rajiv Bhatia (Akshay Kumar) always dreamt of making it big in that field but when a student suggested that with his good looks and a good built, he should take up modelling, the anonymous Rajiv Bhatia began his journey as Akshay Kumar who then slowly but surely worked his way up to becoming one of the most talented stars of the industry. Stunned at the pay package and his success as a model, Akshay took the next obvious step, and entered into films. However unlike most of the other stars in his time, Akshay neither had star parents, nor a godfather to launch him. Although his first few films were unsuccessful at the box office, they helped Akshay get noticed for his dancing abilities and his dare-devilish stunts. His first true hit film was ‘Khiladi’ and although it was a success, the top banners continued to be elusive until ‘Yeh Dillagi’ which not only got him recognition but marked his position as a top league actor.
Yes friends, we are talking about the one and only top Bollywood star who is admired and worshiped by his fans for his versatility and that too all age groups. He is a class of his own. Akshay can be seen on small screen with some great shows like Fear Factor and at the same time he is giving one after the other great Bollywood hit.
He is in the film industry since 1991 and is still going stronger and stronger, at 42 he is giving tough competition to his much younger colleagues. As a matter of fact he joined film industry without in the presence of any Godfather and is a struggler in true sense. Actors like him are not born every day. You know what I like best about him is he is so satisfying for his fans and gives us an opportunity to see him more and more unlike Aamir Khan.
If Akshay’s fans are reading this article, I am sure they would love to read few pieces of his own true thoughts which he wrote from his heart.
“I am very nostalgic about those early days and I am very sentimental about my possessions from those days. I have still kept my first house, my first car, even my first motorcycle………………………..to be continued…………
