Bollywood’s Movies Fiesta —- 2008

Bollywood is my favorite topic and it is always a pleasure to share some meaty information about this magical film Industry. 2008 will be featuring a slew of Bollywood flicks surprisingly releasing on the same day.

In the year 2008 few movies have already hit the screens and earned their fate to name a few are Race, Jannat, jaane Tu Na Janne Na. Bollywood’s big ticket flicks in the year 2008 are Love story 2050 and Jaane Tu Na Janne Na released together on the same day on July 4 while Love story 2050 , notched major dis appointment and jtnjh did well and surged ahead.

On Aug 15, Bachna Ae Haseeno will be releasing world wide featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sexy Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba and this movie will be having clash with Salman Khan’s movie God Tusi Great Ho featuring Priyanka Chopra. On 29th August Farhan Akhtar’s Rock featuring Kunal Khemu will also be releasing.

On 12th September we will be able to see Nagesh Kukunoor’s Aashayein featuring (John Abraham). Another movie featuring Amitabh Bachan and Preity Zinta named Last Year will be also releasing in the year 2008.

Friends the list is simply endless when it comes to Bollywood films and dear if I continue to mention about the upcoming Bollywood films for the year 2008 I will be short of space and time.

One such future hit film Dostana will be coming soon featuring Abhishek Bachan , John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra. All these much awaited films will not only share the same release dates, but they will also clash with each other box office business. Does it makes any sense to release two to three films on the same Friday, In India not many can spend money on two to three films on the same week or the same day so the audience will be but obvious choosy . Business will definitely get divided .

When two big budget movie get released on the same day film makers tend to spend lot of money, time, energy and resources in marketing, publicity and promotion to sell their film better. Film maker will definitely have a tougher time making profits from such films which are released on the same day.

At the same time the film makers must remember the fact that If the film is genuinely good then it will for sure do very good business like Tarre Zameen Par and Welcome both were released on the same day and did very good business.

So we can say at the end of the day, the fate of the film, directors, producers, actors and in short the entire film faculty depends on their hard and good work and they can achieve their goals if the film is in the merit list and is able to create magic in the Box office. Other wise no matter how much publicity and promotion is done it will give zero results.
