DEATH DEFYING ACTS

Its production design is one of a kind excellent period sets located around 1926 in Edinburgh, shimmering photography and eye-filling linen and flower arrangements. Australian director Gillian Armstrong is a stylish storyteller, even when the material is paper-thin. The screenplay revolves around the quirks of the genius escape artist Harry Houdini (Guy Pearce, convincing). 
Troubled after his mothers death, he announces a hefty reward for a psychic who can recall and explain her last words. Enter a con artist-psychic (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and her daughter (Saoirse Ronan from Atonement), who win Houdinis attention and strive to find a clue that can win them the reward. Houdinis feats (padlocking himself in water) are nothing to gasp about. The plot lacks substance. For the always camera-friendly Zeta Jones and the period ambience, this one is recommended.

Heidi Klum ist… Aber die meisten Schauspielerinnen sind auch gar nicht besser, als sie.
Heute kennt das kulturelle Defizit keine Grenzen. Wie kann jemand diese Kultur, die gar keine Kultur ist, im besten Sinne des Wortes, richtig entlarven? Ich versuche zu beweisen, dass viele Schauspielerinnen heute sehr unrealistisch, mechanisch spielen und an ihre Rollen sehr oberflächlich denken, weil sie immer noch leider wirklich sehr unaufmerksam zu sein scheinen, aber wer glaubt mir schon?
Heidi Klum zieht sich immer noch selten komplett aus, und mir kommt es so vor, dass sie noch leider nicht ganz frei ist. Es ist ausgezeichnet und menschlich, keine Scham zu haben. Liebt sie alle, die gut und attraktiv für sie sind? Liebt sie alle, die sie WIRKLICH liebt? Wenn es nicht so ist, Warum sind alle, die gut sind, unattraktiv z. B. für sie? Liebt sie mich nicht?
