As the name sounds very Punjabi and street like concept, the film is also more or less of the same culture. Rani being in the female lead role, so it has to be Aditya Chopra production, fortunately this time taking bankable stars like Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee. “Dil Bole Hadippa” is another spin-off off of the (reliable?) often-repeated formula rebellious girl dresses up as boy to attain goal in patriarchal society, and everyone else, it turns out has buttons instead of eyes, because they can’t see through that very thin disguise. So, Veera Kaur (Rani’s character), puts on a turban and a beard and becomes “Veer Pratap Singh”.”Veer Pratap Singh” because of his skill on the field earns himself a place on Rohan’s (Shahid Kapoor) team. Thus the film have the lead pair, on the same team, and in close proximity. This film stars Shahid who’s been having quite a good run this year. And more power to him – a star who can act, dance, oozes affability and that “good boy” charm, he quite deserves it. Rani who appears on the silver screen after quite a while, looks thinner and fitter. There is also Rakhi Sawant, Anupam Kher, Dalip Tahil and Sherlyn Chopra.

Since it’s a Yash Raj production this film is least a family entertainer, It’s clean, colorful and full of energetic songs.”Dil bole hadippa” is directed by Anurag Singh. Singh was associate director on films like Dhoom 2, Koyla and “Karan Arjun”. As full-fledged director, he director “Raqeeb” before this. DBH has music by Pritam (music review can be found under the “Music Review” section). The director of the movie Anurag Singh has first experience and this is shown from his direction. Nothing to be seems like good or something new. May be he works on old is gold theme and so made this film or can say just copy the concept of Hollywood movie She’s The Man of the year 2006. He also took some shots from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and most of the dialogues are overused, the same Punjabi tone heard lots of time before. Nothin is new, creative and original. All seems old, boring and copied. Don’t know what’s in the mind of director when he decided to start this film. Also it is like that he wants to show something and is showing totally different.

The only good thing that was in the movie is Rani Mukherjee. She has done full justice with her character. Her fabulous and feisty performance tied the people for once especially her Sardar role. She is looking very sweet in that role and performed the role so nicely and do full justice with the role as usual. Another thing that was impressive in the movie is its costumes, choreography and the sets. To make the movie rocking Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra has also played but it did not help the movie. It was very difficult for the public to watch the full three hour movie in the cinemas neither love scenes, cricketing nor is the comedy part of the movie able to hang out people for three hours.

The actress has prepared for her role for the last two months and has been getting on-field training in the game by experts.“I’ve been learning cricket regularly on the field for the past two months. I can most certainly play the game convincingly now, though not as good as professionals yet,”. It also has hottie Sherlyn Chopra in a small but important role.In this film, Rani had to do several difficult stunts (like flying in the air) with the use of cablework techniques.“It required a lot of physical strength to assume the correct ‘flying’ posture on the harness,” the actress told.People were very excited to watch this movie as from this movie Rani has gone to start her second innings in the film industry, and for this she did lots of work-out and put off her weight to look more slim and younger. But unfortunately, the movie has not worked as expected. It was a big bore comedy using very old jokes and dialogues. Dil Bole Hadippa is very predictable or can say a dull movie starring Rani Mukherjee and Shahid Kapoor. Rani Mukherjee is playing a typical Punjabi kudi from Amritsar named Veera. Shahid Kapoor is playing a role of son of team owner named Rohan. As usual the same typically story, a big cricketer came back and trained his father’s own team. The same old concept which get bored the public in the whole movie.

    Hi

Your reviews are worth admiring. This movie name sounded as if it wud have the impressive jazz of the Punjabi life…but nothing of that sort. The music were so very incoherent, and were not properly shaped.Rani, looks better in the Veer role rather than in the Veera role.Shahid is cute and his work is commendable. The movie cudnot do even 20% of what Lagaan’s cricket had done. Some very useless jokes..Wish Rani does much better.Comparing her previous work..has Rani deteriorated. Moreover, she has lost so much weight, her face looks skinny and old.
