BINGLE DRIVES IN HIGH HEELS!
Glamour girl Lara Bingle has been spotted steering the wheels of her 300,000-dollar Aston Martin in super heels. The Aussie model had reportedly stunned the onlookers after she was seen trotting in stilettos with skin-tight jeans and oversized singlet combo at the posh Finger Wharf in Woolloomooloo, Sydney. Bingle had been presented the mean machine as an early Christmas present by her cricketer fiance Michael Clarke. She had recently admitted that though she had been thrilled with the luxury car she found it difficult to tame its power. She had said, “I am not the best driver. It is kind of difficult to drive. It is a heavy car. It has got a big front and lots of power. I am used to driving a Mini, so it is one extreme to the other, I guess.â€
Tara Reid enters rehab
Actress Tara Reid has checked into a rehab clinic in California, her spokesperson has confirmed. The 33-year-old American Pie star will spend Christmas and the New Year in a rehab in Malibu. It is not known what she will be treated for. Her representative, Jack Ketsoyan, said, “Tara Reid has checked herself into the rehab. We appreciate your respect to her and her family’s privacy at this time.†A friend added, “Her friends and family are supportive of her decision. She checked in herself. It was her decision.†Back in October (08), the one-time notorious party girl had admitted that she was now a ‘social drinker’ after years of heavy drinking. And she insisted she was never tempted to slip back to her old, wild ways. “No. I’ve done it. Trust me. I’ve done enough for a lifetime of everything. I’ve had a great time. I partied. I had fun. I ate and drank whatever. I dated a million guys, but I’m so happy with where I’m at right now. I don’t need to do anything anymore,†she’d said.
Diaz refuses Shrek musical
Cameron Diaz has ruled out starring in Shrek the Musical. The actress — who voices Princess Fiona in the animated film franchise — attended the Broadway opening of the musical recently, but revealed she has no plans to tread the boards herself. She said, “What they do up there is, to me, impossible. It’s wonderful though. They’ve done such a great job. They worked really hard, and it really pays off.†She added, “It’s hilarious. There are so many laughs. It’s great to see all the actors playing it together, because when we do it for the animated films, we never see each other. We don’t work together.†Cameron is due to reprise her role as Fiona for the fourth installment of the series with Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy — who play the green ogre and Donkey respectively — also set to return. Other stars who attended the opening included America Ferrera, Joan Rivers and Ben Stiller.
Kate Beckinsale set to play action hero!
Kate Beckinsale is heading to the Antarctic for her latest film role. The British actress will appear as no-nonsense US Marshal Carrie Stetko in chilly thriller Whiteout, which sees Kate’s character on the trail of a killer at a South Pole research centre. A movie insider said, “Fans will see Kate play a real action hero, some of the stunts are breathtaking. The movie is going to be thrill-aminute.†The film, directed by Dominic Sena, is an adaptation of the 1998 comic book series by Greg Rucka and artist Steve Lieber. Although the movie is set in the Antarctic, conditions were too cold to shoot on location so filming took place in Canada.
