I really pity the regular and sincere watcher of some of the Indian television serials.

If we discuss about the story line most of them have similar kind of scripts. The dialogues and costumes are also more or less similar and there are a lot many of such serials. They are being produced in big quantity but there is no quality. Apart from these limitations, there is something seriously wrong about these high voltage emotional and family dramas.

I am a little worried and concerned about the mental health of the viewers who are subjected to such complicated stuff and the kind of psyche they must be forming viewing such family dramas. The negativity of these serials will affect adversely the audience thinking and their behaviour patterns.

In a recent study done in Gujarat it was found out that a majority of fathers have started getting their children DNA tested as they have doubts about their wives infidelity and sincerity towards their husband and their families. In certain cases, divorce has also been sought.Nothing can be worse than this. The reason for all this havoc was that some of the serials were based on Gujrati’s and their lifestyles. It is a pity that today we have nothing better to teach and show our next generation and we have to rely on such poor scripts.

It is high time that all the producers and directors of these family soaps should make some shuffles in their scripts and storyline and make it more meaningful, cultured and a better picture of the society can be projected to the masses.
