Jade Goody —- and the Big Boss Season-2

Big Boss season-1 was a big hit and had gained ample of popularity and at the same time the participants also fetched good publicity and some of them got a hike in their sluggish career. Few lucky ones are Rakhi Sawant and Ravi Kishan who got publicity as celebrities after participating in this reality show (Big Boss).
So the much awaited show of the channel Colors- Big Boss 2 has started since yesterday, its first episode was telecast ed on 17th august (Sunday) at 22hrs on color TV channel, where the 14 participants of the show were introduced.
Big Boss season 2– was in news since Shilpa Shetty is the host of the show. Earlier it was expected that the show will be hosted by Ravi Kishan- a former participant of Big Boss Season 1 but finally Shilpa was assigned for the task. Shilpa Shetty being the host of the show is an added attraction for the show as she has a major fan following all over the globe. Secondly, She had fetched favorable publicity as a participant of Big brother and she is the right choice for hosting this reality show.
Big Boss 2 is a very crucial show for the channel Colors as it is recently launched so the success of the show can help the channel to establish itself. The promotion of the show has been done on a very large scale.
First the show started with Shilpa Shetty’s dance number on the title song of the show. Then Shilpa showed the whole house (where the participants will live for 84 days) to the viewers. Then she introduced the 14 participants of the show whose names were kept secret by the channel.
Jade Goody had taken the audiences by a major surprise blow as she was least expected by one and all. Jade had gained negative publicity due to her loose comments against Shilpa in Big Brother a reality show. Shilpa Shetty looked gorgeous in her red Sari complimented with a sphagiti blouse and she simply looked stunning in her glass hour figure.There was lot of suspense as the show started as the audiences were curious to meet all the participants of the Big Boss-2.
This were the participants
Ketaki Dave- the lady who is well known for her tagline- Ara Ara. She danced on Parineeta’s song- Kaisi Paheli Hai. She is typical saas bahu variety and will add to the spice of the show.
After Ketaki Dave model cum actor Zulfi Sayed entered the house. Quite a handsome hung and all the young gals will freak out on him.
After Zulfi, Monica Bedi (whose name was connected in Mumbai Bomb Blasts case) came. She also presented a dance item on Rakhi Sawant’s song Dekhta Hai Tu Kya from movie Krazzy 4. According to Rahul Roy she is the strongest participant in the family as nothing can touch her being in prison from last couple of years and has experienced the bitter side of life in a harder way.
Then it was the turn of Raja Chaudhary- husband of tellywood actress Shweta Tiwari who came in news due to disputes with his wife. The guy looked quite broken and shattered because of her broken marriage and missed her daughter badly.
The 5th contestant was Rakhi Vijan- Sweetie of Zee’s serial Hum Panch. After divorcing Raveena Tondon’s brother- Rajeev Tondon she is again active on the television.
Late Bhartiya Janta Party leader Pramod Mahajan’s son- Rahul Mahajan came next. After his entry in the house he became the guide of the other participants entering the house after him and showed them the whole house.
Then it was the turn of the item girl- Sambhavana Seth. She danced on Shilpa’s song- Main Aayi Hoon UP Bihar Lootney. She was quite hot in her moves and looked like a attention seeker.
The show also has a stand up comedian- Ehsaan Qureshi. He is well known for his unique style of comedy. Here also he showed a glimpse of his comedy. He looked absolutely humble and adjusting variety.
Among the crowd of celebrities there is a non celebrity too. She is Aleena Walia who is the youngest participant of the show. She is just 21 years old.
After Aleena, Payal Rohtagi came. She gave a dance performance on- Oh Sikander of movie Corporate before entering the house.
There is a singer too. It is reality show winner Debojit Saha who won the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa championship in 2005. He sang the song- Bachana Ae Hasino. He looked so humble and relaxed guy.
This show is also having the latest winner of MTV Roadies- Ashutosh Kaushik who has recently won the fifth season of MTV Roadies.
The second last participant was the politician- Sanjay Nirupam. I suppose he is the eldest member of the family.
The last participant’s name added the real spices to the show. Yes I am talking about Shilpa Shetty’s competitor of Big Brother- Jade Goody who passed racist comments on Shilpa in Big Brother 2. She is the International participant of the show. According to her with this show she wants to clear up her image.
Shilpa Shetty shot to the pinnacle of fame, when she won the Big Brother Reality show (Similar reality show format as Big Boss. Produced by Endemol in London in Dec 2006. She was the first Indian in Big Brother series in London and was harassed and racially abused by co-participants Jade Goody and her mother. Endemol and channel 4 were criticised by majority of UK audiences for their inaction against public display of visible racism. Shilpa was called “Shilpa Poppadom†by Jade Goody as she was unable to remember any Indian last name. This was the second appearance by Jade Goody in the Big Brother. She was the winner of earlier series of Big brother and was requested to re-participate in another series of Big brother along with her mother and boyfriend. Shilpa managed to gather Sympathy votes from majority of audiences and won the series with clear margin.
