Hillarious and inspiring.
Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson are perfectly suited in this movie. This movie is about a couple who decide to raise a dog before coming up with the idea of having children because John (Owen Wilson) is still not ready for it. He is not really stable on what he is going to do in his job. He was a reporter in a local newspaper but then his boss considered that he will be better as a columnist. John and Jen live in a small house and find it a bit clumsy and John then takes the initiative to buy a present for Jen’s upcoming birthday which is a puppy. They name it Marley.
Marley changes the world of John and Jen. This puppy is very hyperactive and uncontrollable. He never follows instructions even when the couple takes him to the dog training school. Some people name him “the worst dog in the world”. But John and Jenny enjoy Marley’s company with all his freaking behaviour. John even writes about him and the boss loves the article. He even asks him to involve himself in its activities. It works out well for John and he get a raise in his salary and starts thinking about having children with Jen. Marley is always there for them even when this couple has three children. Marley is really lovable yet unstoppable but very loyal to the family and they give him unconditional love. The family stand by his side till its last day and at last part when Marley was sick due to stomach twist, it gets really thrilling to see how the family embrace him as the important part of the family.
Jennifer Aniston is undeniably radiant in her role and Owen Wilson is just perfect for this movie. They really have the chemistry to make the story look natural and entertaining yet touchy and thrilling. It represents the real life where dog can give you the best companionship among all the other animals. Marley and Me, two thumbs up.
