Californication is a Showtime TV series production created by Tom Kapinos, starring David Duchovny as Hank Moody: a troubled novelist whose move to California and his writer’s block complicate the relationships with his ex-girlfriend Karen (Natascha McElhone) and daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin). He as a writer tries to juggle his career, his relationship with his daughter and his ex-girlfriend, as well as his appetite for beautiful women. The series revolves around Hank Moody, (whose book titles are taken from the names of Slayer albums, ie. God Hates Us All, Seasons In the Abyss, etc.) plagued with personal demons. He’s struggling to get his career back on track with the help of his agent/best friend, raise his pre-teen daughter, all while pining for his ex-girlfriend. It may sound desperate, but he enjoys life and owns all his various vices — drink, drugs and women
Hank’s long-time ex-girlfriend and the mother of his teenaged daughter was happy with him when they lived in New York, but she can’t begin to hide her disgust in L.A. Now that Hank is ghost writing the autobiography of a debaucherous famous record producer, its going to be difficult for her to cope with Hank being surrounded on the daily by sex, drugs and rock & roll? Hank and Karen’s thirteen-year-old daughter has been through a parent’s bad breakup. But, unlike her mother, Becca truly accepts her father for who he is. The women come and go, but Hank’s heart truly belongs to his daughter.
The show was renewed for a second season on September 7, 2007. The season 1 finale, titled “The Last Waltz”, originally aired on Showtime on October 29, 2007. Ghajini- A review of Aamir’s latest movie

The story is about Aamir Khan, a rich businessman who owns a cellular phone company named Air Voice and the events surrounding his relationship with Asin. After his wife is killed, he suffers from short term memory loss. But he is out to avenge his wifes murder. In Ghajini too he has come up trumps, thanks to the superb support from the cast that includes, apart from him, Asin and Nayanthara. Excellent performance from the cast, backed up by mellifluous music by Harris Jayaraj, especially the background score, and terrific action scenes by Kanal Kannan — these are the ingredients that have made Ghajiniwhat it is: a surefire hit.
Murugadass, who has also penned the script, has borrowed liberally from the Christopher Nolan classic ‘Memento’. But to his credit, Murugadass has made it very much Indian with his own interpretation of the English version. Ghajini is also notable for the back and forth style that Murugadass employs to tell the story. is on the lookout for the killer gang, tattooes the names, mobile numbers, addresses, etc. on his body and takes photos with his Polaroid camera to remember things!
He is helped by medical student Chitra (Nayanthara). Though she wants to study Sanjay’s case in detail, her professor tells her not to do so as there is a police case against him. How he manages to get even with the gang forms the climax.
Cast: Aamir Khan , Asin Jarzyna , Jiah Khan

State of Play- the movie and the serial

State of Play is a British television drama serial, first broadcast on BBC One in 2003. Produced in-house by the BBC, in association with independent production company Endor Productions, it was created and written by Paul Abbott, directed by David Yates and starred David Morrissey, John Simm, Kelly Macdonald, Polly Walker, Bill Nighy, and James McAvoy.
It tells the story of a newspaper’s investigation into the death of a young woman, and centres around the relationship between the leading journalist and his old friend, the woman’s employer. The serial begins with the murder of a young man, apparently a drugs killing, and the apparently coincidental death of Sonia Baker, the young researcher for Member of Parliament Stephen Collins (Morrissey). As the deaths are investigated by journalist Cal McAffrey of The Herald (Simm) and his colleagues (including Kelly Macdonald as Della Smith and Bill Nighy as editor Cameron Foster) it appears that not only were the deaths connected, but that a conspiracy links them with oil industry-backed corruption of high-ranking British government ministers.
It ran very well in the UK and now it’s moving onto Hollywood where a movie is being based upon this.
Based on the BBC mini-series of the same title, a team of investigative reporters work alongside a police detective to try to solve the murder of a congressman’s mistress in the movie under production with Ben Affleck, Russell Crowe and Rachel McAdams.
