“Pati Patni Aur Wohâ€, inspired by an international reality show “Baby Borrowers†is suppose to be all about parenting. Right from living the life of an eight-month pregnant woman to taking care of an infant, a toddler, and a teenager — the show that went on air Sep 28 features five celebrity couples doing it all.The show has Rakhi Sawant-Elesh Parujanwala, Shilpa Saklani-Apurva Agnihotri, Juhi Parmar-Sachin Shroff, Mouni Roy-Gaurav Chopra and onscreen couple Gurmeet Chaudhary-Debina Bonnerjee.
Just for the sake of money and popularity the parents have handed their little ones in the hands of  inexperienced people. Some of the parents are very convinced that a manual is sufficient for taking care of their babies as if toddlers are some kind of an electronic toys and can be handled mechanically. “For the sake of making a juicy reality show, the makers cannot exploit and harass the little children. Even though the children’s parents are watching what is happening, the makers cannot separate them from their biological parents. As an audience, when I watch the little angels suffering and howling their lungs out, I feel so restless and uncomfortable, since I have experienced motherhood. How can inexperienced mothers have any attachment with a child who is biologically someone’s else. In fact, it is very obvious  how most of them are behaving as if they are forced to love them. They are running to spa and complaining that the child is very heavy and eats a lot of food and all. My God! how can you bring up a little soul with such negative feelings, Are the show organiser  trying to tell us that every body has to undergo such training to become parents? This reality show is simply disgusting and it is difficult to understand who is a bigger fool the Parents or the actors.
I Â hope you will agree that it is completely unethical to exploit young children (new born & toddler) in the pursuit of entertainment. Even though the parents of these young children are watching via closed-circuit television, the babies are not aware of that and have no way of knowing how long the parents will be gone and they have too face the torture.Parents are to be blamed as the rest have a motive and wants to gain popularity. How can parents be so heartless and cruel to see their children suffering, bleeding and crying non stop.I think we Indians have lost our values and sold of everything to western Television.
“Separating babies and toddlers from their parents for extended periods of time can lead children to feel distress and anxiety. After prolonged separation, a child can feel distrust for his/her primary caregiver and also separation can damage a healthy attachment and a child’s sense of safety. I fear that this programme would lead babies to feel acute distress, ignored or manhandled. I will not be surprised if one or the other child might become very serious and has to admitted to hospital and all. The parents should come back  to their senses and take back their little soul.
