Former Bond actor Pierce Brosnan is condemning the killing of dolphins for meat and urging officials in Japan to end the slaughter of the sea mammals in the country. Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan is leading a crusade against the killing of dolphins and porpoises, urging officials in Japan to ban the practice of killing the sea mammals for meat. The Irish actor, who has been a long time environmental campaigner, has praised the work of investigative journalists who have documented the killing of dolphins in Japan in new film The Cove. Brosnan says he was shocked and appalled to see the real life cruelty onscreen ”We have long been passionate about marine mammal protection. After watching The Cove, we were astonished to discover that more than 20,000 dolphins are slaughtered in Japan each year and that their meat, which contains toxic levels of mercury, is sold to consumers and in grocery stores across Japan,” said the actor.

“This powerful and moving film is an urgent cry for help—and now that the public finally knows the truth, we must demand change,” he added. Pierce Brosnan is speaking out and condemning the killing of dolphins for meat in Japan. Pierce is urging officials in Japan to stop the slaughter of dolphins in Japan as well as stopping the sale of dolphin meat. The sexy Irish star has always been very environmentally conscious, but after seeing the documentary The Cove about Japanese dolphin slaughter, it’s become his new cause. He tells reporters that he was shocked by the on screen brutality. ”We have long been passionate about marine mammal protection.     Brosnan deserves A plus for effort ,but I do not think a producer of a film has ever affected the outcome of sensles slaughryer of animals like this.Kudos and GOD BLESS
