continued……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..The next glowing star in the Bollywood  list is Priyanka Chopra, one of the most wanted Bollywood babe. As such, I am a big Bollywood fan and my liking is not only limited to films but also I appreciate some of  the Bollywood stars. I like and value all those stars who have struggled their journey all of their own  to make it to the top, unlike the ones who have followed their famous parents. Priyanka is for sure a lady of substance and a genious as well. She is well educated with some great values in life.
Priyanka Chopra was born on 18th July 1982 to the family of Captain.Dr. Ashok Chopra & Dr. Madhu Chopra, an event that transformed the life of every one around her. This first born girl child of a large extended family was welcomed like a star. With large twinkling eyes and the most fascinating smile she was a winner. in the Chopra family consisting of her dad, Dr. Ashok from Ambala and Delhi and mom, Dr. Madhu (nee Akhauri), and has one younger brother. Her dad is Punjabi-speaking, while her mom is from Bihar. As a child, she suffered from Asthma and was very close to her dad. Her family affectionately called her Mimi.While she was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, she also spent her childhood in Rae Barreilly, in Uttar Pradesh as well as in Lucknow, where she was enrolled in the La Martiniere Girls’ School. These frequent re-locations took place as Ashok was a doctor in the Indian Army. She subsequently re-located to the U.S. where she studied in Newton’s Newton North High School and then in Cedar Rapid’s John F. Kennedy High School in Massachusetts and Iowa respectively.
Priyanka had a very varied upbringing . Having joined an Army family, she moved from Leh-ladakh in the north to Kerala in the south from Bombay in the west to Jamshedpur in the East . She imbibed the ethos of the multicultural Indian society. A family favorite she grew up in the warmth & Love offered by her grandparents, aunts & uncles. All of this went into the making of a very warm, loving & confident personality. She started her Education from La Martiniere Girls College in Lucknow as a resident student, A short stay at Maria Goretti College in Bareilly prepared her for further studies in the USA. Having completed class 10th from Boston USA.she decided to become a software Engineer or a Criminal Psychologist. Suddenly life took change with the Femina Miss India contest, which she won with aplomb.
In 2000 she returned to India and enrolled in Jai Hind College and Basant Singh Institute of Science in Churchgate, Bombay, but had to leave abruptly as she was crowned Miss India. She was subsequently crowned Miss World in the same year – a year which proved to be a year for Indian Beauty Queens – as Lara Dutta and Dia Mirza were also crowned Miss Universe and Miss Asia Pacific respectively. Priyanka is a good singer and occasionally writes poetry and short stories. She didn’t had much aspiration for modeling or ever dreamed of competing in beauty contests, but her parents, without Priyanka’s knowledge, sent photos of her to the Femina Miss India pageant. On competing, Priyanka won the Femina Miss India-World title and an opportunity to represent her country for the Miss World competition. In the Miss World competition, the judges were so impressed by Priyanka Chopra’s performance that they omitted the mistake that she made during the last round and she was adjudged winner of the Miss World 2000 title. She was asked which living woman she admires most, in the finals, and Priyanka replied “Mother Theresa”, but at that time Mother Theresa had deceased. But that was the only mistake she made throughout the tough competition.
Even before she won the competition, Priyanka Chopra was very involved in philanthropic activities. She is the only Indian in the USA to have been selected at the state level for the National Opus Honor Choir She did extensive charity work in US and India after winning the title. After winning the title she was flooded with film offers. Andaaz directed by Raj Kanwar became her debut film. She was pitted against Akshay Kumar. Then Miss Universe Lara Dutta also debuted with Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka won most Promising newcomer for Andaaz from Star Screen and Filmfare. Her Villainous role in Aitraaz won her many awards and accolades. She hasn’t had to look back since then. Her Mujhse Shaadi Karogi with Salman Khan was a hit. Krrish, the film in which Hrithik Roshan plays a super hero, is her biggest movie so far and it is one of the biggest hits of all time for Hindi film industry too. The film fetched her international recognition and currently she is being considered for the Hollywood film Wonder Woman. Priyanka’s very recent film Fashion where she plkayed the role of a model, is looking stunning and has done full justice to the role. I just loved her in the film Fashion.
HOBBIES:
Have been varied at different times. Singing & Writing poetry has
been her all times favourite. She started performing at musical shows since
three years of age along with her father & uncle , who are both singers of
great repute.
AMBITIONS:
She aims for the stars after completing her education. She intends
taking up a social cause closest to her heart. She is a movie Buff and would
love to join the galaxy if a good offer comes.
ACHIEVEMENTS:

Priyanka is a very personal person but in one of the occasion she poured her heart out.”When I’d entered the industry, many had claimed I would never make it big since I look too Indian. Some said I’m not dependable while others called me starry. I’ve crowned myself controversy queen now! I come from a very simple family. Probably because I don’t have any godfather, I don’t know how to make the right moves. That’s why I’ve landed up in numerous controversies. I’m not manipulative; nor do I play games to reach the top. People don’t know me for who I am. That bothers me at times. But I cannot keep explaining myself to the world. When you’re at the top, people want to pull you down”, In short Priyanka is a genuine, selfless, down to earth, warm and loving personality.
