The final countdown has began and ”Rakhi Ka Swayamvar” show on NDTV is all set to grab the world wide attention. The show for sure is going to have the highest TRP’s in the coming months and the rest of the shows are going to take a back seat on the IndianTelevision.This show for sure will create history with it’s highest TRP’s and grand popularity.

Amidst the searing heat of the Rajputana, a hot damsel is trying  hard to look demure in preparing to get ready to be a wife, a daughter-in-law and, in the not-so-distant future, a mother.

Item girl Rakhi Sawant is all set to pick a husband from a list of 16 suitable boys in NDTV Imagine’s new show Rakhi ka Swayamvar. The action will take place in the hilltop Fategarh Palace in Rajasthan.“Have you ever seen me this shy?”  “Badi gabrahat ho rahi hai.” are some of her remarks in the last minute as she is also very nervous to face such a big event.
Shortlisted from more than 10,000 hopefuls, the aspirants will undergo a series of challenges to claim Rakhi’s hand. During an early round, one potential Mr Sawant was even asked by Rakhi, “Are you a virgin?” but they are preapared for kind of grilling session and are game to it.

But just who are these boys willing to take the Mohabbat hai Mirchi babe to their matajis as their bahu? Let us have a glance of these so called eligible candidates and know more about them. One candidate works in Jammu & Kashmir’s crime branch. Another is a Vastu consultant from Saharanpur. Yet another is a mechanical engineer from Mumbai. There are three from Delhi.

One Dilliwallah, a school topper, wants Rakhi to move with him to this city if he wins her. While a 30-year-old Gujarati NRI from Toronto thinks that Rakhi cannot find a better groom than him. “Can you believe it, he came all the way from Canada,” gushed Rakhi. “I had never imagined that I would have such excellent men for my swayamvar.”Uhmm, does Rakhi have a favorite? “No, they all are equally good,” she whispered, her eyes modestly cast down.

Rakhi will be assisted by actor Ram Kapoor, the show’s host. “I will be Rakhi’s brother and will help her choose,” he said. Rakhi’s celeb friends will also appear in the show to pep up Rakhi, Ram is also a very  close friend of Rakhi and knows very well about her liking and dislikings, he is certainly going to be a friend philosher and a guide to her. Clinical psychologist Dr Trupti Jain will help Rakhi by finding out which boy is serious and who is insincere.

Ashwin Chaudhuri, 28, is quite excited to be one of the participants in a reality TV show of an exclusive kind. The Nagpur lad is among the 16 finalists who are ready to woo Rakhi Sawant through NDTV Imagine’s reality show ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’.
Does the aspiring ‘groom’ think that proposing to an item girl like Rakhi will harm his reputation in any manner? “I don’t think so. Initially, my family was a bit sceptical about my participating in the show. But then, my family trusts me and they want to see me happy. As I am the elder son of my parents, initially they were worried that I might shift base to Mumbai if I get married to her. But today, they are very happy for me and support my decision,” admits Ashwin. Best match’

Ashwin, who considers himself to be “the best match for Rakhi”, frankly lists his merits that he thinks would certainly impress the Bollywood babe. He says, “I am frank, intelligent and god-fearing. Also, I am a very simple, understanding and responsible person. I think these qualities of mine will impress her.” And what would he do for her if he wins the swayamvar? “I will be very supportive in every venture of her life. I will take good care of her and will always keep her happy.

How does he see Rakhi as a wife – full of attitude because of her star status or like a normal, middle-class wife as she hails from a simple background? Ashwin says, “I think she will turn out to be a smashing wife who will maintain a good balance between her professional and personal life.

So the boys are very excited and happy seeing Rakhi as their life partner.
This could perhaps become India’s most talked about swayamvar since Draupadi’s in Mahabharat. After all Rakhi is Hindustan’s one and only piece?” No doubt.

    its er lyf n its clear u dnt lyk rakhi so y dnt u bak off yeah… coz wteva sh wnt thru dnt fink u cud cope wit it! n dat luv is lyk soooooo cute mwah x his soo fit n aww i luv him :P his da best out of all of em for er coz thy mke a verii cute couple bless x its soo cute watchin im lyk all chupchup in da corner n he hardlii speaks.. it woz sweat wen he read dat luv letter 2 er i fink dat guy hu wnt (hu wre a student) he woz cute anall bro.. plus elesh is lyk soo cute coz its soo sweet da waii he speaks buh Luv is da best wit out a doubt n i fink ather is soo sly
