It is facile to consider myself a traveler when I have only been to Oceania and Asia but I love travelling. Alongside all journeys, books keep me accompanied so it is self explanatory that I am an avid reader. From what my acquaintances are saying, I seem to have a kind heart, friendly and diligent; such complimentary words are those of which I do not self flatteringly associated myself with. At least, my parents would certainly disagree given their high expectations in all the presidential schoolings they have had invested in me. At a personal level, book worm, nerdy, indifference, mundane is what I see I am about; therefore, I am more in tuned to explore what is much more philosophical and meaningful, such as history.

I often ponder to myself that if only mankind is born with the intelligence of foresight and time manipulation, the world is a lot easier. We can avoid making mistakes that have been done in the past and those that have been proven to be wrong across time. History, it shall be. It is the only discipline that transcends all boundaries of race, gender, age, social and political groups, religion, and languages; most importantly, it transcends time.

It is not with an aim to provoke a sense of resentment and regression whilst I am writing this article about the drama serial < The Republican >. As a descendent, I could not help but feeling it painstakingly. As living in a modern century that I am, seeing a strong empire of western culture, I do feel a twinge of jealousy and the notion of impractical saying occur to me, ‘if only we are like them hundreds years ago’. Such retrospect mentality is to be disheartened, to rest on laurels is what an incapable man does. It is also an attitude of casting aspersion if we were to cure and swear on those who have hurt us before since we are the one giving chances.

During Ming Dynasty, Second War World has resulted China and Korea being invaded by foreign troops including The Empire of Japan. Royal Garden was destroyed and many antiques were robbed, the material side of it cannot be held comparable to what is being invaded in our mind. The loss of nationalism and pride is not what the rest of world has to understand. Are we being over trusting or is human nature born evil? Or is it because of our ignorant self complacency? It is a question that is worth any sociologist and philosopher, even Presidents, to think it over. Is humanity an uphold value or is it just a faculty in a university, a discipline which is overlooked, a work that bound to be undermined?

From a religious perspective, Mankind inherits the earth with a purpose of living it and is the only species that is outside of food chain. In order to do so, we need food. As commonsensical as it may sound, in order to hunt for food, mankind has gone on an irreversible journey of developing weapons henceforth lay the platform for war. No one likes war, if everyone is living in sufficient and no poverty; there is no need for war that is with an aim for attacking, robbing and killing for the sake of living better and stronger. The gunpowder was, in the beginning, invented for the purpose of fireworks which are to alarm and for leisure. Never to any realm of imagination for Chinese to expect that would foreigners make it a lethal mechanism that is aiming at exploiting the life of others. Do we bring it upon ourselves? With the ideology of democracy, the West is not only imposing us and the rest of world to refrain from judging family background in which they are all descendents of robbers and killers. Equality, as novel as it sounds, it only bring back the agonizing memory of torn motherland.

Without doubt, the West is right about democracy constitution that is aiming for gender and racial equality, human right as well as freedom of choice in education, language, religion and marriage. It is a right constitution to have a separation of power in legislative, executive and constitution law as well as the independency of military power. Idealistically speaking, the general public ought to be granted with equal voting right, access to education, human right, impeachment right and civil right. Then we can move forward in building a nation with a strong economy, well measured and systematic social institutions to ensure good management and justice, an establishment of nationalistic and ethnic pride, as well as a tint of cultural revival.

Win-win situation is a trendy word, in which all international organizations, trade union and diplomacy practices. Globalization and Internationalization are what every country participate s in, to opt out the game is to simply volunteering to give in without fight. After all, the world is not going back to medieval times in which capitalism plays no part in it. Science, Technology and Law are the laudable discipline in which downplay humanities that the Oriental firmly believes in. Morality becomes a forlorn word of its own while its novelty consistently and relentlessly being overridden with prudent intelligence of mere human. What is the rationale to be drawn between human minds so that we all live as conscious being on earth?

wendywthfriends.jpgAbout Me: Feminist| Socialite| Reserved | Imperturbable| Goal and plan- oriented| Respectful| Versatile| Straightforward| Hate bickering, drunkards, irrational racist, chauvinist| Having a trait of prima donna and bureaucracy in me, though, i am generally a earth-toned person. |

Not having an issue and/or complex with the construction of personal identity and representation that is to be associated with reading genre, political affiliation, writing preference, etc. In general, I am open to the idea of freedom of choice and a pattern of self development. Noticing that many are being intertwined between ambivalence and paradox, for the fact that I am different does not mean that I am judging either.

I often find myself in obscurity about how naive and wishful people can be. Is it because of idolism or too much romanticism in the culture that makes people become unaware of personal effort is the sole and only way to achive what one wants in life? No even God or any single individual should be held obliged to such unpredictable liability, especially so when there is no rewards in doing the deed. The absurdity lies in how usually a bad person is always victimized themselves and making sure his/her voice is wide loud enough to be heard whilst the quiet ones are being maligned. So much for justice!

wendyculturenight.jpgMy advice (only if one is interested in taking any) from the bottom of the heart would be, irregardless of what religion you are, help only when it is necessary, help a person to help him/herself instead of helping him/her to become dependent. The villain himself/herself will find whatsoever chance to bring you down, be on guard and don’t let them. Be not let the benovelance of yours abused at the expense of the undeserveds. Nobody enjoys sheer ludicrous slice of luck with no prior hardwork. Foiled by intolerable reality, no one cares about illustrious past, perhaps the tabloid does, at minimum extent. But for only them really! It takes what it takes to be resolutely on top.
