A very special episode of Saregamapa challenge 2009 was held recently which was the Bhramhastra special round where we got a chance to listen to the contestants who got eliminated in the previous rounds. The program looked like a courtroom set where every contestant stood in a ‘katghara’. Aditya (the host) was dressed up as a lawyer and Mentors gave witness while the audiences were judges. Himesh had the Bramhastra [as usual]. They chose 9 contestants for the Bramhastra round who would perform before the final contestants get selected. Saregamapa Contestants Who Performed in this round were Tarun Sagar, Asma Mohammad, Divya, Fareed, Manisha, Prachi, Shashi, Shuaeli and Cute sardar Ji Sunvinder Singh. Aditya kept informing that the audience take the decision about the final selection and Bramhastra went to Rock Gharana. There was also the ‘Brahmastra Wild Card Voting‘ on Saregamapa site. Its free to vote for your favourite contestant.So much of talent hunt going on in the country that I’m sure the oldies of yesteryears like Lata Mangeshkar would be feeling insecure. The program itself is so nicely choreographed that the young singers look so handsome and good that I get confused whether they are competing for playback singing or main stream heroes of movies.
I wish I knew how to enter the competition.
