Shahrukh Khan turns 75 in a new Dish TV ad

Shahrukh Khan this time has done something unprecedented and innovative, by portraying the role of a 75-year-old grandfather, romancing Tanvi Azmi as his wife. He is  a 75-year-old man who romances his wife behind closed doors by dancing with her.  The story is very cute. Tanvi Azmi is playing Shah Rukh’s wife. They’re hiding inside their room and are dancing.

While his contemporaries are playing college-students in movies, isn’t it a leap of faith for SRK to add 30 years to his real age? Prasoon says, He liked the script a lot. Probably he never got a script like that before. His first reaction was, Well, I love it! He probably he trusted my work. He didn’t take time to say yes.

You’ve seen him as an action hero and playing the lover boy, Shah Rukh Khan play a septuagenarian in a new Dish TV ad. This is for the latest Dishtv campaign that gives viewers a chance to see Shahrukh Khan in an all new avatar. In the second TVC, Shahrukh Khan is paired with Tisca Chopra where he brings home an orphan girl child who settles into the family only after an experience with Dishtv. The 30 Crore ad campaign is a part of Dish TV’s plans to re brand itself where it will come with a new logo. Shahrukh had pocketed Rs. 10 Crores for the ad.

Some of the best creative personalities in the country have come together to create this campaign. The television commercials are part of the brand’s new brand positioning of ‘Ghar Aayi Zindagi’ and convey everyday beautiful emotions, through real life situations, of families rejoicing together with their loved ones. In line with the core message of the campaign, Shahrukh Khan will bring alive warm family moments that tug at the heartstrings. Indeed, SRK is the best man for this job. Some how I found sharukh  nothing great in the ad and he does not look very  natural as an old man. In fact his body language is not so convincing as he is over doing his part of the character. Where as Aamir is very natural while portraying an older man’s role.

Shah Rukh khans own words- ”I love doing the role of an old man and that too in a very romantic manner,”  ”I enjoy doing ads because it is a great way of storytelling in 30 seconds and the best way of emoting,” said Shah Rukh.The actor was speaking during the unveiling of Dish TV’s new brand identity campaign “Ghar Aayi Zindagi” and its new logo.

If you are a Shahrukh Khan fan you must be quite depressed to see your favorite star getting wrinkle and looking very old,Well sooner or later he has to grow old. We all have to grow old one day that’s the fact of life. But even in that age king Khans fan following will put a break. This dashy actor’s smooth skin will glow with the same aura even in that age for his fans. This ad remind us of only one thing that is everything comes to an end. He will not look so charming and dashing forever! With age everything diminishes! And it really do.

So the mantra is age gracefully and be happy.

    Nothing exciting about Shahrukh Khan playing a 75 year old man in Dish TV’s new TVC.

    Barring the hair wig and mustaches that are grey in color, KING KHAN himself does not justify the old man’s character anyways – neither his voice nor his posture – the way he walks or sits or moves. See MCU two shot with Tanvi Aazmi where his chest is clearly telling the message that “He looks very much hatta katta of 30s.”

    Even the emotions and the make up done is below standards revealing his young bright glittering face.

    This is surely a very innovative approach by Dish. a completely new idea and very well executed.

    There are always fans as well as criiques for any creative work.

    But whats more important thing end if the day is the FANS strength should outway the critics. and thats surely has happend incase of this commercial also.
