Simpson turns watch designer

Singer Jessica Simpson is set to expand her business empire by designing a new collection of watches. The singer already boasts her own jewellery line as part of her Jessica Simpson Collection, which also includes shoes, handbags, luggage, clothing and eyewear. And now she’s adding to her fashion empire with a range of timepieces, Contactmusic reported. ”Creating and inspiring the collection is very near to my heart – my mom and I work on this collectively and it is a passion for both of us. It is a joy to be able to create a line that is affordable and fashionable,” Simpson said. ”Collecting watches, both vintage and new, has been a hobby of mine for some time so adding watches to the collection was a natural extension,” she added. The watch collection will be available in a price range from USD 60 to 250 and will be launched later this year.
