What killed Michael Jackson

The deadly cocktail of drugs, which apparently killed King of Pop Michael Jackson, has been revealed. The name of the painkillers emerged after police probing an injection, which apparently caused a cardiac arrest to the legendary star, talked to a doctor about the details. And the doctor has revealed that Jacko, 50, was taking up to three powerful narcotic pain relievers at the same time. Sources close to the singer have revealed that he was injected three times a day with Demerol – the painkiller given to him before his collapse at his LA home on Thursday. He was also taking another painkiller, Dilaudid, and sources have said that he had recently been prescribed yet another narcotic pain reliever, Vicodin. His other drugs included muscle relaxant Soma, a sedative called Xanax and anti-depressant Zoloft. He also took Paxil for anxiety and heartburn pill Prilosec. Michael also took a prescription for Oxycontin, a narcotic. It’s an addictive drug and he didn’t need it.
At the time of his death, Jackson was under the care of cardiologist Dr. Conrad Murray, who was living with the performer in a rented mansion. The cause of Jackson’s death is still undetermined, and won’t be known for four to six weeks. However, a spokesman for the Los Angeles coroner’s office has confirmed that Jackson was taking some prescription medications.
Whew some cocktail for one man. The singer was taking a combination of antidepressants, anxiety pills, painkillers and stimulants, which would have left him listless and unresponsive. Some have been associated with serious side effects, including breathing problems and mood swings.
Stress
The stress of the upcoming concerts in London – which would have earned him $50 million to $100 million to get out of debt – killed Michael Jackson. The King of Pop, who had earned $750 million, was reportedly in debt between $300 and $500 million when he died Thursday. He was working hard for his 50-date comeback ‘This Is It’ tour beginning July 13 in London. Canadian Stuart Backerman, who was Michael Jackson’s close confidante and publicist from 2002 to 2004, told the local Vancouver Sun Friday that stress killed the pop star. He also revealed unknown facts about the star’s private life and his insecurities. ”To be quite honest, his lifestyle, the anxiousness he has been under, and stress in terms of the concerts in London (was incredible)” was too much for the King of Pop to handle, the Vancouver man told the newspaper. ”Remember, he signed up for 50 concerts, (rehearsed) every other night. (That’s a lot) for a guy who hasn’t performed since 2001. Even in 2001 he could barely do two sets of 20 minutes at that Madison Square Garden (Motown) celebration. Since then he has not really practised,” said the Canadian who handled Jackson’s public affairs at the most difficult time in the pop star’s life. Backerman said Jackson was probably taking too much Demerol (a powerful opiate painkiller) to deal with the stress.
The stress of a hugely-anticipated series of comeback shows in London caused Michael Jackson’s death, his close friend Uri Geller, the spoon-bending psychic, said on Thursday. Geller, who lives in Britain, said Jackson was desperate to prove to the world that he was still a superstar despite child abuse allegations which had seriously damaged his career. The paranormalist described the scale of Jackson’s planned comeback shows – some 50 concerts at London’s O2 Arena, which were due to start in July – as “just scary”. “He wanted to prove to the world that he is number one, that he is still Michael Jackson, that he can still deliver a thriller,” Geller said.
Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley, has posted a lengthy blog regarding the death of her ex-husband Michael Jackson. The pair was married for just under two years in the mid-1990s. Some excerpts:
“Years ago Michael and I were having a deep conversation about life in general. I can’t recall the exact subject matter but he may have been questioning me about the circumstances of my Fathers Death. At some point he paused, he stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, ‘I am afraid that I am going to end up like him, the way he did.’ I promptly tried to deter him from the idea, at which point he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter of fact as if to let me know, he knew what he knew and that was kind of that.” ”A predicted ending by him, by loved ones and by me, but what I didn’t predict was how much it was going to hurt when it finally happened. As I sit here overwhelmed with sadness, reflection and confusion at what was my biggest failure to date, watching on the news almost play by play The exact Scenario I saw happen on August 16th, 1977 happening again right now with Michael (A sight I never wanted to see again) just as he predicted, I am truly, truly gutted.”

“Unmasked” by Ian Halperin:
This book is the ultimate tabloid read! Although the chapters about Jackson’s court case was informative; Halperin reverts to a tabloid style of writing to end his book. Phantom male lovers and their supposed intimate escapades with the King of Pop is something only to be laughed at. Halperin contradicts his claims about Michael’s supposed affairs when he says that Michael would meet these men in run down motels to keep things secretive. But then says that these silent lovers had intimate pictures of themselves and Jackson. Why would Jackson go through all of that to keep the affair secret and then take photos with his lovers? Imaginary photos is what they are. I also found it interesting that Halperine met Jackson only once under false pretences. It seems to me that Ian Halperin is trying to stir up controversy to Jackson’s image. Throughout the years Michael Jackson has been constantly hounded by the media. Why with all of the investigators that have studied him, have they not found such men with alligations like these before? I will tell you why, because these alligations are completely fabricated by a man who has no scruples and lacks all trace of human disancy
i fullly agree with u Lyn there
